Remove? No, I would add

I do think some discussini this time on hold or not crucified in the classroom, including judgments and statements of politicians from both sides. All ready to undertake crusades in defense or claim the victory of the European Court. What I ask myself this morning reading the news on the Web is if people really the perception of the words he uses. Especially in politics, where words are used with ease and often ignored, or worse still, with the intent deliberately misleading. Defends the secular state, this would be the reason why you should remove the cross from public places. But you know the difference between secular and atheist / agnostic?

The word secular in the modern sense of the term has meaning of "nondenominational", that is not linked with any ecclesiastical authority of religious belief.

In recent years the secular term is instead used in improper way sometimes to indicate a general agnostic or atheist. Such use is semantically incorrect, as a layman's sense of removal from ecclesiastical authority, but does not affect the profession of a particular religious faith: that we can distinguish lay believers [1] by lay non-believers.

Secular state and nondenominational stands for the freedom to profess any religion (albeit while respecting the rights and public del'ordine etc.. Etc.). From a secular state that so often fills the mouth in these times of freedom and democracy I would expect a different argument. Why remove a symbol of a religion (which then the shadow remains on the plaster and you see the same symbol h) instead of going to get? Objectively Italy between immigration and other population is becoming increasingly multiethnic and multi-religious. When you find a class with children of three or four different religions, why not add the various Buddha, the Koran and a good two or three Indian gods? Maybe add an hour of history of religions, just to know and respect the beliefs of people with whom one day you'll find the next job. To remove anything you do not earn anything. Democracy and freedom can be exercised only in the presence of choices.
